At Pythagoras Academy, we offer a wide range of after school activities led by both our teachers and other educational organizations. From self paid programs to fun clubs, there is something for each student’s interest.

Introduction

Afterschool Programs (Self Paid)

At Pythagoras Academy, we believe that by offering a variety of programs in different subjects like dance, sports, science, languages, music, and Fine Arts. Your child will develop skills and abilities that make them a well-rounded and open-hearted learner. This year we are offering the following self paid afterschool programs: ballet, Lego robotics, storytelling, public speaking, and Mandarin. Teacher-led Clubs

At our school, each student from grades 1 to 8 has the opportunity to participate in one afterschool club led by different teachers each term. These clubs are diverse and engaging, ranging from science experiments to k-pop dance and crafts. Each term brings new options, ensuring that students never get bored with the same activities. These clubs are a favorite among students, who enjoy the chance to learn new skills, explore their interests, and bond with their peers. Thanks to our dedicated teachers, our afterschool clubs are a fantastic way for students to enrich their academic experience and have fun at the same time. Previous clubs: Sports and Games, Chess, K Pop Dance, Doodle & Sketch Mindfulness Art, Science Skills, Wushu, Ribbon Dance, Yoga and Wellness, Board Games, Anime and Art, Origami, Cubers, Weaving, Storytime…and many more!

Co-curricular activities: Sports/Band/Musical Theatre

Students of grade 4 and above can join our school afterschool basketball, soccer, and students of grade 3 and above can join badminton teams training, with different sports offered according to the season. Auditions for the annual school musical are held in September, and rehearsals take place after school. Students in grades 4 and above are welcome to join the school band and meet for rehearsals after school. Whether you're passionate about sports, music, or musical theatre, Pythagoras Academy offers plenty of opportunities for you to explore your interests, develop your skills, and have fun with your peers.

Afterschool Team Training for Debate & Lego (Self Paid)

Each year, Pythagoras Academy students in grades 5 to 8 are invited to try out for the school's Lego and debate teams. After school, these teams undergo regular training and receive guidance from experienced coaches. They compete against other schools in both local and national Lego and debate tournaments, consistently achieving outstanding results in recent years. There is some financial responsibility for parents. Our Lego and debate teams help students develop critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills while having fun and representing our school.
